Who we are

For over 10 years, we have been delivering top-tier electrical solutions for new builds and renovations across Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs.

Founded in 2011 by our Managing Director, Matt Ryan, MTR Electrical Solutions has grown into a leading provider of electrical solutions for luxury homes across Melbourne’s southeast. Based in Chelsea Heights, Matt’s dedication to developing efficient processes and fostering a passionate team has been key to our success.

Our reputation is firmly established and we collaborate with some of Melbourne’s premier luxury home builders, including McKimm, Manchen Projects, Plan to Build, and Precision Projects. While also working with esteemed architects such as Martin Friedrich, Adam Kane, and Tugendhaft Architecture, just to name a few. Our partnerships with industry leaders enable us to maintain the highest standards of excellence and innovation in every undertaking.

What we do

We provide a wide range of electrical services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our expertise includes general electrical work, CCTV installation, security systems, access control solutions, intercom systems, audio installations, networking, and wireless access points.

Also specialising in full home automation systems, enabling the seamless integration of all systems into one cohesive unit, a vital feature for luxury residences.

When variations do tend to arise, they are driven by client preferences or architectural considerations and not items that have been overlooked at quoting.

After a successful tender, we focus on compliance by providing all Occupational Health and Safety documents before starting work, which is vital for a safe and organised site.

During the project, we keep communication clear and structured. We share formal meeting notes to keep everyone updated and informed.

Upon the completion of the project, we create a detailed handover document for our clients, containing all necessary information about their electrical systems. We also hold an in-person handover meeting to guide clients through their systems, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in their new home.

Job Journey

  • Once we have received the new Tender Request, we go through a number of checklists to provide you with an accurate and reliable quotation. Our systematic approach ensures that every detail is considered, allowing us to deliver high-quality service tailored to your specific needs. Each checklist is designed to review critical elements such as project scope, material specifications, and compliance requirements, helping us to eliminate potential issues from the outset. By adhering to this structured process, we strive to provide confidence in our pricing and deliver exceptional value for your project.

  • Once the tender has been won, our team gets to work ensuring everything is ready to go when we move to site. Our first point of action is to complete all required OH&S documentation and submit it to the builder. Your MTR Project Manager will be assigned, and you’ll be supplied with their details for smooth communication.

    Following the documentation submission, we conduct a comprehensive site assessment to identify any potential challenges and ensure all safety measures are in place. Our team will coordinate closely with the builder and other contractors to align on project schedules, clarifying expectations and responsibilities.

    Regular updates will be provided throughout the project to keep you informed of our progress. We prioritise transparency and collaboration, ensuring that any adjustments required are communicated promptly.

  • You will receive comprehensive meeting notes following each site meeting. These notes will be recorded and distributed to all relevant parties. This process is designed to uphold accountability and maintain transparency throughout the project.

  • Variations will be inputted digitally and provided to the authorised approver. We will supply a breakdown of pricing for each variation and won’t move forward until they have been formally approved. This ensures clarity and agreement on the financial implications of each modification, allowing for smooth project management and execution. All parties involved will have a clear understanding of the changes and associated costs before proceeding.

  • We prioritise timely execution in every project. Our skilled project management team guarantees that all tasks are completed on schedule, facilitating seamless operations for other trades involved. We also deliver a thorough overview of safety measures and maintenance protocols, along with all necessary logins for the client's new home. To ensure clarity and satisfaction, our Director will personally meet on site to conduct a detailed handover, explaining all aspects of the project face-to-face.
